sassafras55 is a landscape design collective comprised of gifted and experienced professionals with a shared aesthetic and a commitment to environmental stewardship.  Judith Heintz, Diana Drake and Napat Sitisara come together to make simple, elegant and modern designs that rely on ecological systems, native plant species and context (both physical and cultural) to create a special sense of place that works on many different levels, whatever the locale.

While often functioning as a team, they may work independently, which allows for a unique mix and match of their individual talents that varies from project to project.  Together and independently they have worked on widely varying projects, from urban to rural, large to small, and public to private.
